A Little Birdie Told Me

It is Inspiration Day over at the Card Makin Mamas Challenge Blog.

For my card today I used  a pre colored digi from Meljen's Designs called Birdie's Little Letter. I adore these pre-colored digis. It really helps speed things up when you are in a time crunch. I paired him with this gorgeous double sided paper from Fancy Pants Design. I matted everything in this locally made cardstock. I topped it all off with the ribbon, a flower I created myself using Nesties and a super cool flower brad.

Now don't forget that the current Card Makin Mamas challenge is RECIPE 1 2 3 and it runs until 11:59pm on the 26th. The random winner will win their choice of 3 images from Some Odd Girl.

2 Cute Birthday Challenge

Hey everyone, I hope you all are enjoying your week so far. Mine has been super busy with a sick child and getting ready for a birthday party this weekend.

I am here today to share with you my card for the current challenge over at the 2 Cute Rubber Stamps Challenge Blog. The challenge is BIRTHDAY CARDS FOR A GIRL. The challenges run for 2 weeks so there is plenty of time to get in on them.

For my card today I used a cupcake freebie they gave out a while back. I've had these papers from the Target $1 bin sitting around for forever so I knew I wanted to use them with this image. My son's friend is having a birthday a couple days after his and he wanted me to make a fun card for her. I think she will like it.

Now I know you want to go snag some of the 2 Cute stamps from 2 Cute Rubber Stamps so follow this LINK and it will take you to the store page where you can choose the digi store, the etsy store or even try them our first with the freebies they have offered.

CASE-ing Lisa

Hey Im back for my second  post today. This one is for the Farm Fresh Challenge Blog. On Monday they posted their Mystery Monday CASE challenge. You can either CASE the card shown,  OR you can use it as an inspiration piece. Well thisk weeks CASE card is one by my friend, Lisa, so of course I had to  play along.

I used Cheeky Mate for my image and I colored her with Bics and Copics. My Mom's birthday is on the 4th of July so I thought I would use that as inspiration for the image and papers. I chose to some AWESOME new papers that I got recently by October Afternoon. Aren't they great. Then I used some scrap ribbon I had and these really cool oversized wooden star buttons I got from Joanne's on clearance.

Thanks for stopping by. I will be back shortly with my Card Makin Mamas Post.

2 Cute Penguins

Hey everyone and Happy  Tuesday. My Tuesday is especially happy because I have NEWS. Today I am happy to announce that I have been asked to be the May Guest Designer for 2 Cute Rubber Stamps. If you haven't seen these stamps then  you are totally missing out. They have rubber and digis to work with and they are soooo totally cute.

Well they have decided  to branch out into the realm of CHALLENGES. Hooray. The challenges run for 2 weeks so there is plenty of time to get in on them. The current challenge is CELEBRATIONS and can be found on the new challenge blog.

For my card today I used one of the brand new digis that was released last week called Penguin Wedding. I wanted to keep the card clean so that the image would be showcased but I also wanted it to be snazzy. I chose this awesome shiny design paper (didnt have a brand label) that was a bunch of squares. I cut 2 of the squares to use as the background, then I matted them in gold. I then found some love related Studio G sentiment stamps I had and I stamped them in silver and then traced over them with Stardust pens in red and clear. I also accented the image with the Stardust glitter pens.

Now I know you want to go snag some of the 2 Cute stamps from 2 Cute Rubber Stamps so follow this LINK and it will take you to the store page where you can choose the digi store, the etsy store or even try them our first with the freebies they have offered.

Flowers for Mom

It is Inspiration Day over at the Card Makin Mamas Challenge Blog.

For my card today I used "Little Layered Flowers Mini Cuties" from Meljen's Designs. I kept this card  SUPER simple. I used white and pink cardstock and I colored my images using Copics and Prisma-Color Pens. I found a stamp that is just a row of dots and I inked it up to make the border and the stems of the flowers. I then used a Studio G leaf stamp on the flower stems. The sentiment is also from Studio G.

Now don't forget that the current Card Makin Mamas challenge is FOR A LOVED ONE and it runs until 11:59pm on the 13th. The random winner will win their choice of 4 images from the Meljen's Designs line of stamps at the WHIMSY STAMPS STORE.
